קראתי את הבקורת על הסרט "כמעט מפורסמים" ואני חייב להעיר,איני יודע מה גילו של צבי או של יעל , אבל הסרט בהחלט מרמז על להקת "free" שמעתם עליהם? הייתה להקה כזו עם להיט אחד או שניים.

אני מצטער על העצלנות שלי וחוסר הזמן, פשוט אין לי זמן מחשב ואני גם צריך להתייצב בעבודה ב- 0530 כך שהדבקתי ביוגרפיה קצרה על הלהקה כפי שמופיעה ב"yahoo" אגב כמעט כל מי שאוהב מוסיקה והיה בגיל העשרה בשנות השבעים המוקדמות יודע עליהם(אם לא, כנראה שלא אהב מספיק" זה גם רומז שאני מתקרב ל-44 .בכל אופן אם תרצה תרגום אין בעיה אבל אני בטוח שלא תהיה לך בעייה עם זה.

Trimming the psychedelic assaults of Led Zeppelin and Cream into a lean, hard-hitting blues-rock sound (with the accent on blues), Free were one of the most successful groups of the early-'70s blues invasion (Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac). With vocalist Paul Rodgers' mournful, gritty croon and the unique styles of guitarist Paul Kossoff and drummer Simon Kirke, Free had the hits "The Stealer," "Mr. Big" and their all-time powerhouse, "All Right Now," a staple on American AM radio throughout 1970.

In Kossoff and Rodgers, the band had two unique stylists who modeled their sounds off Eric Clapton and Otis Redding, respectively. Kirke and bassist Andy Fraser (who went on to write such hits as Robert Palmer's "Every Kind Of People") possessed singular approaches as well, playing simply yet with great soul and power. Unlike Cream and Zeppelin, Free never went in for all-out solo bombast, instead preferring blues lyricism while penning gut-wrenching tunes. 1968's Tons Of Sobs was a super blues outing which saw Kossoff develop as one of the major guitar voices of the period. Using great articulation, bent notes and sustain, Kossoff unleashed a torrent of emotion and pathos. Free followed in '69, then Fire And Water, a superbly recorded album of blistering ballads ("Heavy Load," "Oh I Wept") and power rock workouts ("Mr. Big," Fire And Water") which brought the group worldwide acclaim. Their follow-up, Highway, faired not as well, though 1973's Heartbreaker was back up to snuff with tracks like "Wishing Well" and "Heartbreaker."

By the mid-'70s the band was falling apart, as Fraser left for greener pastures and Kossoff fell prey to heroin addiction (though he did record the excellent solo album Back Street Crawler). Kirke and Rodgers went on to form the immensely successful Bad Company , a calculated, soulless imitation of Free's power and grace. Kossoff died in 1976 while en route from New York to London, apparently from drug-related causes.

הסרט לא מרמז על להקת FREE ( לא ממש שמעתי עליה , אבל זאת לא הלהקה.
הלהקה האמיתית היא להקת "האחים אולמן ( the olman brothers).
הסיבה שאני יודע את זה , היא שהסיפור כולו הוא סיפור חייו של במאי הסרט , קמרון קרוא. בגירסת ה DVD של הסרט מופיעות גם הכתבות האמיתיות של קמרון הילד מתוך ירחון ה roloing stone , ושם אכן רשום שהוא הצטרף למסע ההופעות של האחים אולמן.
חוץ מזה , הסרט , חוץ מזה שהוא סרט מגניב לאללה , נכתב בויים והופק בידיי ועבור חובבי מוזיקה.
מי שאוהב מוסיקת רוק ( כמו עבדכם הנאמן... ) , מאד יהנה מהסרט.
